2021.03.22 Tourist-Information 4-Day Masai Mara / Lake Nakuru Lodge SafariThis package includes a full day game drives in the world-famous Masai Mara, home to the splendid great wildebeest migration, zebra and other grazers. Discover the Magic Lake Nakuru National Park, an important wildlife sanctuary, hosting an abundance of birds and varied wildlife, including both white and black rhinos. There is also an option of a visit to the Masai village. The itinerary is also available at a reversed order.
Day 1: Nairobi / Masai maraPick up from your hotel, residence or at the Airport by our safari guide in a company of our office e representative for a safari briefing session then drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve as you enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley – Masai Mara game reserve is the northern part of the Serengeti, one of Kenya’s most favored game-viewing areas. The reserve covers 700 square miles of magnificent wilderness. It is the Africa of the imagination; endless reaches of acacia-dotted grasslands studded with hazy hills. Afternoon game drive to see the sun-downer as you trail the Big 5, Lions in large prides, Elephants, buffalo, zebras and numerous plain game. Arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. The meals are buffet, enjoyed either in the dining or under the shade of indigenous trees. The culinary affair is indeed one to delight the senses, have a few minutes relaxing and enjoying the surrounding before you depart for an afternoon game drives returning back to the camp or Lodge for dinner and overnight. During your stay in Mara; you will be driven by the river which is a great place to spot wildlife. This area is a photographer delight where with any luck you will be able to take amazing pictures of the hippos and crocodiles in the water. The small size funnels animals into a tight space; park rules allows for off road driving which means that guests can venture into plains with hundreds and thousands of animals. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Masai MaraFull day spent exploring the park in search of the big 5 trailing the wildebeest migration Morning and afternoon game drives are offered. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons maasai mara has greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic spectacle from July to October, the annual migration of huge herds of Gnus and Zebras, predators such as Hyenas, Jackals, Leopards and Lions closely follow these herds. The plain is literally covered with these animals. Grunts and other animal sounds are heard, and territorial fights are commonplace. The migration, now declared the Seventh Wonder of the World takes place from end July to September. Masai Village: Afternoon optional tour to the famous Masai Village our driver will organize for you but with an extra cost of $20 per person – You will be entertained with Masai Moran dance as well as the visit of the Manyatta. Inside the Manyatta take as many photos as you can as a memory of Africa Cultural visit. A Maasai guide at the village will escort and explain to you in English about their lives. A maasai lady will give you a lecture on how to make a beaded bracelet at their library. Hot air balloon safari: USD 420 per person
Day 3: Masai mara / Lake NakuruWake up call at 06: 00am, for breakfast, check out for the early morning brief Game safari which offers you golden opportunity for early morning big 5 kills, African Jungle Male Lions are spotted along the trails as well as other Kenya big 5 including the documented the Big Cat Documentary, Lion, Leopard & Black Rhinos if lucky. Check out and drive to Lake Nakuru national park to arrive for Lunch and afternoon game drive. This park was famous only as a bird sanctuary especially the lesser and greater flamingos. However, now it is home to the white rhino and Rothschild giraffe, besides the herbivores like buck and antelope. Leopard can also be seen in this park. The vegetation is of the drier type. The flat-topped acacia and the candelabra cactus are a feature of the landscape. Lake Nakuru National Park is renowned as a bird sanctuary with over 400 bird species, including huge flocks of flamingoes and many other water birds. It is an excellent park for wildlife spotting and is home to many water-loving animals such as hippos and waterbucks. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru / NairobiBreakfast then proceed to Lake Nakuru National park to arrive in good time for lunch and afternoon game drives a the scenic park famed for numerous species of bird life especially the pink flamingos. Lake Nakuru, a shallow alkaline lake in the Rift Valley, renowned for its spectacular flamingo population as one of the world’s greatest ornithological spectacles. Although Lake Nakuru is primarily a bird sanctuary, there are a considerable number of animals to be encountered, such as many large game animals such as zebras, elephants and gazelles, this is one of our best chances of seeing rhinos. Lake Nakuru National Park was the first place in Kenya selected as a rhino reserve. Here is one of the few places where we can see Rothschild’s giraffes. Return to Nairobi with a stop over in Lake Naivasha for an optional 1 hour boat ride before you proceed to Nairobi arriving late in the afternoon. Driver to drop you at the place of your choice or transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
