Kanchenjunga trekking is the third highest mountain of the world after Mount Everest and Mount K2 with an elevation of 8586 m and is located at the eastern part of Nepal. In fact, Kanchenjunga region was opened only in 1988 for trekkers and is protected by Kanchenjunga Conservation Area Project by World Wildlife Fund in association with the Nepal Government. The Kanchenjunga sanctuary is a home of Red Panda and other montane plants, animals, and birds. Actually, many of the trekkers and climbers have described Kanchenjunga region as the finest trekking route of Nepal. Kanchenjunga trek is a long trek going deep into the remote mountain ranges on Nepal’s border with Sikkim and Tibet. And during Kanchenjunga trekking, you will see a wide range of scenery lush and tropical jungle through rhododendron and chestnut as well as oak forests and then at higher altitudes into the alpine zone.
Our route starts by approaching the north side of Kanchenjunga where you can observe the awesome panorama of Tent Peak, Nepal Peak, Cross Peak, and then Kanchenjunga Base Camp. Then, from Pangpema, the trek returns to Ghunsa and we have to cross the Mirgin La Pass over to the south side of Kanchenjunga. We will be overwhelmed with the most impressive and delightful views of southwest face of Kanchenjunga.
